My PhD supervisor Allan Trench recently presented at the AMIRA Exploration Managers’ Conference on “What are the elements of industry collaboration that have added value to exploration success?”. The presentation covers the issue that whilst we know success in mineral exploration is the discovery of new high quality mineral deposits, and we have a bit of an idea about what best practice in industry research collaboration in exploration geoscience is, we still remain poor at clearly linking the two together and in tracking the impact and influence of research collaboration upon discovery.
