This week’s Strictly Boardroom article with Allan Trench on MiningNewPremium.net is riding on the back of Leicester City’s success and drawing out the management implications for the minerals exploration sector. The article is entitled: “The inevitable Leicester City article: The minerals exploration edition“.
The article looks at whether Leicester really were 5000 to 1 shots, and how a better analysis of historic footballing datasets for similar previous successes and near-misses, might have provided much more accurate and shorter odds on Leicester’s title win. This is then compared to our understanding of the assessment of the odds of success in minerals exploration – which, alas, is worse than that of football pundits.
