The Impact of the Energy Transition on Specialty Metals and Minerals

Earlier this year I was invited to speak at one of the side seminars running at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Conference – probably the world’s largest mining conference – on the subject of specialty metals and minerals. Alas, I was unable to attend but my friend and colleague, Dave Stevenson (then Centre for Exploration Targeting* now Kenorland Minerals) who was involved in the scenario planning was able to make the presentation.
The presentation is entitled ‘The Impact of the Energy Transition on Specialty Metals and Minerals’ and combines some of my earlier research on the history and future of the critical metals with some more recent scenario planning work that looked at the energy transition.
