The F-word is focus.
Rounding up the last of the Strictly Boardroom articles on MiningNews.net published in May we come to a plea for focus in mining industry management advisory. I quick browse of the consulting and advisory literature very quickly accumulates into a list of incoherent, jargon-inflected pieces of advice.
Our view is to keep it simple. Focus on what is important and do that.
Oh, and on a related note: reading a few good books is probably better than reading many bad reports…
