Tomorrow I have invited Dr. Nick Gardiner to speak at the Centre for Exploration Targeting Seminar Series on “Myanmar: A Tethyan Mineral System?“. Nick has recently joined the Curtin University node of the Centre for Exploration Targeting, from Oxford University. He is a specialist in isotope and metamorphic geology and one of the foremost experts on Myanmar. Some of the presentation will based on a paper I recently co-authored with Nick in Resources Policy entitled: “Tin mining in Myanmar: Production and potential“.
Further details on the seminar can be found on the CET website. It will take place at 4pm in the Woolnough lecture theatre, Geology & Geography Building, The University of Western Australia. It is free to attend and is followed by a few drinks and nibbles.
