Looking back at some of this year’s Strictly Boardroom articles, in June and July we published a series of ‘comical’ pieces on joint venture partnerships, in particular those that go wrong – either as farm-in or farm out, and, of course, some of the types of better deal.
Whilst not serious they do provide a quick check as to where any of your current JVs may sit.
There were three articles published on MiningNews.net, which are available to subscribers, or contact me for further details.
Meet the JV partner from hell – farm-out edition, 12 June
JV partners from hell – farm-in edition, 19 June
Exploration JVs from heaven – sort of, 3rd July
Thanks also to exploration veterans Nick Sheard and Doug Brewster who helped us out with these articles.
For keen followers of the Strictly Boardroom column, our book “Strictly (Mining) Boardroom Volume II: A Practitioners Guide for Next Generation Directors” was published last year and is available as a paperback or e-book from Major Street Publishing or Amazon. We’re pleased to say that the book received a very positive review in the AusIMM Bulletin and in Geoscientist magazine – the members publication of the Geological Society of London.
