This week we are joined on the MiningNewsPremium.net Strictly Boardroom column by local political consultant, Ian Radisich, to discuss the proposed ‘mining tax’ put forward as a policy by the Nationals Party for the upcoming elections here in Western Australia. The idea is to increase taxation on the iron ore sector to cover increasing government debts following a decline in commodity prices. The mining sector is obviously not happy with this, however, we thought this issue deserved some more critical analysis.

The article is available through MiningNewsPremium.net for subscribers and is entitled: “Iron ore minerals policy – give Grylls a break!” or get in touch with me for a copy.

For keen followers of the Strictly Boardroom column, our book “Strictly (Mining) Boardroom Volume II: A Practitioners Guide for Next Generation Directors” was published last year and is available as a paperback or e-book from Major Street Publishing or Amazon.
